The Breakfast Cook at Hy-Vee Market Grille is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing a variety of breakfast foods. This role involves cooking, assembling dishes according to recipes, and ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The Breakfast Cook plays a vital role in enhancing the customer experience through friendly interactions and quality food preparation.
Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
- Prepares various breakfast foods including vegetables, sides, meats, and heat-and-eat varieties.
- Places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, and refills as necessary.
- Prepares items for upcoming shifts and ensures a clean work area.
- Maintains proper sanitation procedures and adheres to personal hygiene guidelines.
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides helpful service to customers.
- Works collaboratively with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Orders products and supplies when necessary or notifies department head of needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
- Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction and record figures accurately.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
