About the position

The Breakthrough Fellowship Program Associate role at Pfizer is designed to support the next phase of the Breakthrough Fellowship Program, which aims to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion for Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American students. This unique program is committed to developing a pipeline of diverse talent within Pfizer, with a goal of cultivating 100 fellows by 2025. The Associate will work full-time within the business unit that hosted their internship, aligning with the responsibilities of an Associate and potentially engaging in a rotation component to gain broader experiences across different teams and projects within the organization. In this role, the Associate will deepen their understanding of Pfizer's operations and contribute to team priorities. The position is structured to support the Associate's application for advanced degrees such as an MBA, MPH, or MS, with the expectation that they will apply for these programs by fall 2027. The role emphasizes the importance of critical thinking, effective communication, and teamwork, as well as the ability to quickly learn about key issues relevant to Pfizer's business. This position is flexible in terms of work location and offers a competitive salary range, along with participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan, which includes a bonus target. Responsibilities

  • Align with responsibilities of an Associate among the Breakthrough Fellowship 'home' position.
  • Participate in a rotation component to gain experiences from other teams within the business unit.
  • Support project teams and deliver priorities that align with the team.
  • Develop enterprise knowledge of Pfizer and contribute to team objectives.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of Breakthrough Fellowship 10-week internship during the summer of 2024 and manager endorsement to receive an offer.
  • Strong critical thinking, presentation, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge in critical issue areas.
  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program.
