About the position

The University of Utah is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist for the expanding Breast Imaging section within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team focused on clinical care, research, and education. The role includes responsibilities in clinical expertise, education, and research, with a commitment to quality and innovation in breast imaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive breast imaging services, including digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound, MRI examinations, and performing image-guided biopsies and preoperative needle localizations.
  • Teach and mentor radiology residents, fellows, and medical students, fostering a culture of learning and inquiry.
  • Contribute to expanding the department's research portfolio with opportunities for collaboration in breast imaging innovation.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and value-based care strategies to ensure high-quality, patient-centered breast imaging services.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
  • Completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging or equivalent training with expertise in all aspects of clinical breast imaging.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical skills, communication, and teamwork, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
  • For Academic Track: Academic interest and evidence of research or educational productivity, with potential for leadership in research, education, or clinical innovation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in advanced imaging techniques and breast cancer treatment options.
  • Interest in participating in cutting-edge research collaborations.
