About the position

The University of Virginia's Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, is seeking a clinical faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with a focus on Breast Cancer. This role emphasizes clinical investigation and outstanding patient care, while also contributing to the educational mission by teaching fellows, residents, and medical students. The successful candidate will enhance clinical and research efforts in breast medical oncology, utilizing the university's translational research resources.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen clinical and clinical research efforts in breast medical oncology.
  • Attend to inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the Cancer Center.
  • Teach fellows, residents, and medical students.

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent degree required.
  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine by appointment start date.
  • Board-eligible or Board-certified in Medical Oncology required.
  • Evidence of expertise in the care of patients with breast cancer.
