About the position

The Brewery Representative role at American Craft Brewery, LLC focuses on developing and maintaining accounts within the food and beverage industry, specifically for the Boston Beer Company product portfolio. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, emphasizing consultative tactics to increase product visibility and availability in various retail settings. The representative will work autonomously, visiting accounts within the designated territory and collaborating with distributors to ensure business growth.

Responsibilities

• Sell the entire Boston Beer Company product portfolio.
• Focus on selling products and upgrading the number of product lines in retail accounts such as bars, restaurants, liquor stores, grocery stores, and convenience stores.
• Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop a plan to establish business with them.
• Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase brand visibility.
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts.
• Conduct waitstaff and bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions.
• Travel regularly in the market to service retailers and wholesalers.

Requirements

• 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry.
• Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously.
• Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently.
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently.
