About the position
The Bridge Designer/Drafter position involves generating CADD drawings from engineering design calculations and sketches, preparing contract documents, and providing drafting and detailing for bridges and restraining walls. Responsibilities
- Generate CADD drawings from engineering design calculations and/or sketches with no supervision
- Prepare contract documents, plans, and sketches utilizing Bentley MicroStation CADD software
- Perform checking procedures of plans drafted by others on the team
- Mentor junior staff with new techniques, design situations, and professional engagement
- Provide drafting and detailing for bridges and restraining walls.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation CADD software
- Experience in generating CADD drawings and preparing contract documents
- Ability to perform quality checks on drafted plans
- Experience in mentoring junior staff
- Strong understanding of bridge and wall design.
