About the position

TYLin is seeking a Bridge Designer to join its Bridge Sector. This role involves performing calculations, analysis, and designs of bridges, while fostering a collaborative team environment to enhance knowledge and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and analysis for the design of reinforced/prestressed concrete and steel bridge structures.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with applicable design codes.
• Develop scalable digital solutions for use on projects.
• Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct independent quality control.
• Plan and schedule engineering work.
• Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), Field Design Changes (FDCs), and Contract Change Orders (CCOs).
• Complete other assignments as needed.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training Certification required.
• Eligibility and willingness to pass PE test within 1 year required.
• At least 1 year of structural design experience, with an emphasis on bridge structures preferred.
• Strong technical skills in structural analysis and design of various types of bridge structures.
• Experience in recognized parametric design/scripting software such as Rhino, Grasshopper, and/or Dynamo preferred.
• Experience in commercial analysis software such as CSI Bridge, Larsa 4D, and/or Sofistik preferred.
• Experience in relational databases such as SQL or MS Access preferred.
• Experience in data visualization preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as interpersonal skills.
