About the position
The Bridge Project Manager - Design at Actalent is responsible for leading the preliminary and final design of bridge structures. This role plays a crucial part in the growth of the Bridge/Structural team and the establishment of a robust design practice. The manager will identify new project opportunities, assist in developing technical proposals, and ensure quality assurance of projects by understanding project goals and client expectations. The position requires a self-starter who can form project teams and manage multiple projects while adhering to national and local structural design codes.
Responsibilities
- Lead preliminary and final design of bridge structures.
- Identify new project opportunities and assist with the development of technical proposals.
- Provide quality assurance of projects through understanding of project goals and client expectations.
- Form project teams and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Ensure compliance with AASHTO, AREMA, and other structural design codes.
Requirements
- Expert level experience in structural engineering and design.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and transportation engineering.
- Experience in conceptual design and final design of bridge structures.
- Ability to provide inspection and construction support services.
- Experience in cost estimates and specifications.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation, Bentley, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
