About the position
The Broadband Technician 1 position at Armstrong Utilities involves the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of internet and telephone services for residential and commercial customers. Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot voice and data services using the latest test equipment.
- Maintain vehicle inventory and ensure safety compliance.
- Perform physical tasks such as climbing, digging, and drilling as needed.
- Provide timely and detailed paperwork and feedback to improve services.
- Engage in continuous training and development to stay updated on trends.
- Participate in on-call and shift work as required.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma; advanced education in IT, electronics, or a related field is a plus.
- Customer-first approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to pass BPI certification within 12 months.
- Physical ability to bend, climb, sit, and lift over 50 pounds, and work in various weather conditions.
