About the position

The Broadcast Editor at World Changers Church International is a full-time position responsible for editing various media content, including sermons, commercials, and promotional materials for the Changing Your World television broadcast. This role requires a high level of creativity and technical proficiency in video editing software, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. The Broadcast Editor will work closely with the Director of Media and collaborate with co-workers and external vendors to ensure that all content adheres to brand standards and technical guidelines. The position demands a detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate and work within a diverse team environment while maintaining a gracious demeanor in high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate will also stay updated on industry trends and incorporate storytelling techniques into their editing work.

Responsibilities

  • Edit television programs incorporating all assigned visual and audio segments.
  • Edit commercials and promotional spots airing within the TV broadcast.
  • Create/Edit broadcast graphics as needed.
  • Confirm that all content/graphics comply with CYW/CDM brand standards.
  • Efficiently edit content in a timely manner meeting strict deadlines.
  • Incorporate good storytelling techniques.
  • Ensure that all technical guidelines are adhered to within the content.
  • Manage digital assets in an organized manner.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and outside vendors.
  • Remain up to date on new and emerging industry and media trends.
  • Maintain stable performance and demeanor when working under pressure.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, media, film production, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional video editing experience for documentary, commercial, or educational content.
  • Strong understanding of editing workflows and file structure.
  • In-depth understanding of required broadcast standards.
  • Proficient in Final Cut Pro, Premiere, or Avid.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize.
