About the position

The Brokerage Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in executing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the brokerage. This position supports the implementation and improvement of operational procedures, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. The coordinator will work closely with brokers to prepare essential documents, including cover letters, to effectively market renewal business. Administrative support is a key aspect of this role, which includes filing, printing, and archiving important documents to maintain an organized workflow. In addition to document preparation, the coordinator is responsible for administering and updating client information in all required systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with record-keeping regulations. Maintaining organized records of client accounts, transactions, and other relevant documentation is vital to the role. The coordinator will also perform customer service functions, addressing broker requests and inquiries through various communication channels such as telephone, email, chat, or in person. The position involves contributing to the preparation of compliance reports related to brokerage operations and collaborating with both broker and finance teams to meet business requirements. Adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies is essential, as is assisting in the preparation of compliance reports. The coordinator will also play a role in identifying and mitigating operational risks, working alongside risk management teams to implement necessary controls. Additionally, the coordinator will support the Brokerage team with any ad hoc tasks and requests that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing and coordinating day-to-day brokerage operations.

  • Provide administrative support in filing, printing, and archiving documents.
  • Administer and update new and current client information in all required systems accurately.

  • Perform customer service functions by answering broker requests and questions via telephone, email, chat, or in person.
  • Contribute to the preparation of compliance reports related to brokerage operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Insurance industry or Underwriting.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration, Sales, and Risk Management preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses.
