About the Firm: We are a dynamic and growing fintech broker-dealer, focused on delivering exceptional services and innovative solutions within the financial markets. Our Firm is committed to maintaining a robust and efficient operations team that supports our retail and proprietary trading business line. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a Series 57 license to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee our brokerage operations and work directly with our current junior operations professional, ensuring seamless operational processes, effective communication with our clearing firm and other department heads, and assisting in the accurate account data and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an effective operations team and system for our online securities trading platform.
  • Coordinate various teams and vendors to facilitate the company's daily business operations and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor operational processes and systems to ensure adherence to our Written Supervisory and Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure all daily controls are performed to prevent and detect potential violations of federal securities laws and FINRA regulations.
  • Monitor, manage and analyze business performance to ensure timely and accurate processing of operational objectives, establish internal KPIs.
  • Manage and oversee the Firm's proprietary trading business line, ensuring all trading activities are executed and settled efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on trading performance and operational issues.
  • Establish various operational procedures for omnibus accounts and manage trades within these accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize trading operations.
  • Act as one of the primary points of contact with our clearing firm, resolving any issues related to trade execution, settlement, and clearing in a timely manner.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records related to trading activities.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the Firm's proprietary client management system and utilize it to manage trading activities, client interactions, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with various departments on special projects as needed and provide operational support across different business lines.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active Series 57 license, or the ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Series 7 and Series 63 preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in operations within a broker-dealer environment, particularly in supporting proprietary trading desks and omnibus accounts.
  • Strong understanding of trade execution, settlement processes, and account reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to liaise effectively with clearing firms and other external partners.
  • Proficiency in using and managing client management systems or trading platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Be an effective self-starter and self-motivator.
