About the position
The BSA AML Analyst at First Financial Bank plays a crucial role in supporting the BSA AML Department by conducting research, monitoring processes, and validating statistics for reporting initiatives. This position requires a thorough understanding of anti-money laundering practices and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the BSA AML Department through research and working BSA alerts.
- Investigate suspicious activity alerts and present findings to the Senior BSA Officer and BSA Committee.
- Maintain a current understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues.
- Adhere to BSA AML Department policies, programs, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Perform detailed investigations and analysis for high-risk customers.
- Complete assigned tasks prior to scheduled deadlines.
- Perform other BSA AML duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of banking experience.
- Prior experience in BSA AML and OFAC regulatory requirements is preferred.
- General understanding of BSA AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in data collection, research, and analysis of BSA AML issues.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- College degree or experience in fields of business or criminology preferred.
- Experience with Bank provided technology.
