About the position
The BSA AML Analyst at First Financial Bank plays a crucial role in supporting the BSA AML Department by performing various tasks directed by the Senior BSA AML Officer. This includes researching and working on BSA alerts, presenting cases, monitoring processes, and compiling statistics for reporting initiatives. The position requires a strong understanding of anti-money laundering practices and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a thorough understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, BSA AML industry best practices, and developing trends.
- Adhere to BSA AML Department Policy, Program, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Investigate suspicious activity alerts and cases.
- Conduct detailed investigations and analysis for high-risk customers.
- Present findings effectively to the Senior BSA Officer, BSA Team, and BSA Committee.
- Perform other BSA AML duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of banking experience.
- College degree or experience in fields of business or criminology preferred.
- Prior experience in BSA AML and OFAC regulatory requirements is preferred.
- General understanding of BSA AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to understand and use Bank provided technology.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in data-collection, research, and analysis of BSA AML issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows.
