About the position

The Student Nurse Intern position at Griffin Health is designed for nursing students to gain practical experience and develop essential skills for their future careers as registered nurses. Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists registered nurse with all aspects of the nursing process, including collecting assessment data and monitoring patient responses.
• Provides and reinforces patient instruction.
• Performs designated treatments under supervision according to Nursing Department Policy and Procedure.
• Assists in the overall function of the nursing unit under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Demonstrates accountability and responsibility as a hospital employee.
• Maintains quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in good standing in an Accredited Baccalaureate Program (BSN).
• Completed junior year of study in a BSN program.
• AHA or American Red Cross CPR certification required.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated experience in nursing.
