About the position

The Bobarista (Bubble Tea Barista) at Boba Tea Time is responsible for crafting and serving a variety of bubble tea beverages and treats, ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service and attention to detail. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where creativity and customer engagement are key to enhancing the overall experience for patrons.

Responsibilities

• Craft and serve a wide range of bubble tea beverages, including brewed teas, milk teas, and slushies, following standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Prepare and serve delicious bubble waffles with ice cream, ensuring each one is a mouthwatering delight.
• Create specialty French fries.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering inquiries, and recommending popular menu items.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing the point-of-sale system.
• Participate in training sessions to expand knowledge of products and enhance barista skills.
• Collaborate with the team to introduce new and exciting flavors and menu items.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring the store is ready for business and left in pristine condition.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Prepare toppings, sauces, and fruit purees in a timely and consistent manner.
• Brew and steep teas to perfection, ensuring each cup delivers a rich and flavorful experience.
• Prepare fresh fruits and tapioca pearls for use as toppings in bubble tea beverages.
• Engage with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a barista or in the food and beverage industry is a plus, but not required.
• A love for bubble tea and an interest in exploring innovative flavor combinations.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly attitude to engage with customers and team members effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility to work 8 to 10-hour shifts during the day, evening, and late-night hours (12 AM), including weekends.
• Ability to memorize procedures, drink recipes, understanding drink concepts and problem solve.
