The Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in this mission by ensuring that the restaurant's food and other menu items are delivered to guests in a courteous, safe, and timely manner. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork, as the Delivery Driver must prioritize the needs of guests to deliver an exceptional dining experience. In addition to delivering food, the Delivery Driver is responsible for assisting with food presentation, cleaning, and sanitation within the restaurant. This includes maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, ensuring proper setup and breakdown of dining areas, kitchens, prep areas, and restrooms. The Delivery Driver must also demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items, suggestively selling additional menu items to enhance the guest experience. The role requires effective communication skills, the ability to handle cash and credit transactions, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable working in a team environment and will possess strong interpersonal skills to build constructive relationships with guests and coworkers. The Delivery Driver must also be adaptable to changing business needs and able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Responsibilities

  • Deliver food and other menu items to guests in a courteous, safe, and timely manner.
  • Assist with food presentation, cleaning, and sanitation within the restaurant.
  • Understand the layout of local streets and highways for efficient delivery routes.
  • Transport and carry delivery items including containers, hotboxes, coolers, and trays.
  • Take guest orders and handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Possess basic cash handling skills and enter orders into the POS system.
  • Handle guest problems efficiently and in a friendly manner.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items to enhance guest experience.
  • Suggestively sell additional menu items to guests.
  • Check food quality to ensure freshness and safety before delivery.
  • Greet guests upon entering and leaving to make them feel comfortable and welcome.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, including dining room, kitchen, prep areas, and restrooms.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance duties as needed.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using a hand truck.
  • Accurately process order paperwork and payment transactions.
  • Deliver local store marketing materials throughout the delivery area to help increase sales.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by a member of the management team.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and obey all traffic regulations while driving.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written language.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and promote cooperation.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to pay attention to minute details of tasks.
