About the position
A Budtender at Lit La Mesa is responsible for assessing the needs of patients and educating them on the benefits and differences of various cannabis products. This role is crucial in ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction through attentive listening, active communication, and excellent service. A successful Budtender will not only achieve sales goals but also provide personalized product suggestions that exceed patient expectations. The position requires a deep understanding of the products offered and the ability to discuss available options with patients effectively. In addition to the Budtender responsibilities, the role also encompasses receptionist duties. Receptionists must possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, serving visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately. They are responsible for notifying company personnel of visitor arrivals and answering all incoming calls, redirecting them as necessary. Skilled receptionists manage multiple phone conversations while attending to walk-in visitors, ensuring a pleasant and accommodating experience for all. The overarching goal of this position is to provide exceptional customer service, creating customer satisfaction and generating repeat business. Budtenders and receptionists alike must maintain a clean and organized workspace, fulfill opening and closing duties, and ensure that displays are fully stocked. They will also be responsible for updating online menus with new products and removing sold-out items, maintaining proper cash handling procedures, and processing medical marijuana recommendations while keeping organized patient files. Attendance at company meetings, training sessions, and promotional events is also required to stay informed and engaged with the company's goals and offerings.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill opening/closing duties
- Maintain fully stocked and clean displays
- Assist with running side work, stocking, and cleaning during downtime
- Update all online menus with new products and remove sold-out items
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures at all times
- Perform front desk duties including greeting and checking in patients, processing medical marijuana recommendations, and maintaining organized patient files
- Attend company meetings, trainings, and promotional events as needed
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through providing excellent customer service
- Listen to patients' needs and provide guidance and education on products
- Follow and achieve department's sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Be knowledgeable on all products offered and able to discuss available options with patients
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases; cross-sell products; handle returns of merchandise
- Build and maintain excellent patient relations
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a background screening
- Must have a minimum of one year Budtending or equivalent cannabis industry experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have open availability, especially on weekends
