In this role, you will be responsible for pharmacy operations, which include role modeling and providing superior customer service, managing exception stations, and solving third-party issues. You will receive and process written prescriptions from customers using RxEVO, verify complete patient information, and manage adjudication reviews. Additionally, you will coordinate Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, and other professional services activities as required. You will assist with various pharmacy operations-related tasks, manage inventory, process invoices, and ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong team orientation, a passion for results, and the ability to support the integrity of pharmacy practice within our retail environment. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while working in a fast-paced environment. Your role will also involve ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI) as required by HIPAA and participating in compliance activities to uphold pharmacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Role models and provides superior customer service and service standards.
• Manages exception station and solves third-party issues.
• Receives and processes written prescriptions from customers using RxEVO.
• Verifies complete patient information to input into the computer system.
• Processes third-party prescriptions and manages adjudication review.
• Coordinates Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, and immunization scheduling.
• Maintains H-E-B Rx screener status and participates in screening events.
• Assists with pharmacy operations-related tasks such as responding to recalls and managing inventory.
• Orders and manages inventory; processes invoices daily.
• Checks deliveries for accuracy and notifies vendors of discrepancies.
• Maintains automated prescription processing equipment and applies computer troubleshooting.
• Processes RxIMS reports and performs other assigned duties.
• Ensures privacy and confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI) as required by HIPAA.
• Participates in compliance with ORT, 5-S, and Pharmacy Standards Review.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18 years old.
• Experience as a retail Certified Pharmacy Technician and pharmacy experience.
• Active CPhT certification.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy-related management tasks and H-E-B RxEVO system.
• Knowledge of H-E-B Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Advanced communication skills and telephone etiquette.
• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office and Windows.
• Mathematical skills, including calculating measurements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision; self-starter.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of pharmacy experience (preferred).
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification as an H-E-B Pharmacy Technician.
• RxEVO certification.
