About the position

Bestica Inc is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide support for the Airman Systems Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. This part-time remote position involves aiding in research related to biomedical impacts of flight and supporting the Defense Health Program's Medical Human Performance initiatives. The role requires a strong background in budgeting and financial management within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide research support for the Airman Biosciences Division and its various branches.
• Assist in budget planning and tracking for the Defense Health Program.
• Support DoD program reviews and funding document requests.
• Utilize tools such as pivot tables and spend plan graphs for budget analysis.
• Collaborate with R&D Support Programs personnel and laboratories.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• DAWIA career field certification (APDP Level I or higher) in Business Cost Estimating or Business Financial Management (FM).
• At least 5 years of demonstrated budget analyst/financial management experience in a DoD work environment.
• At least 2 years of experience with Comprehensive Cost and Requirements System (CCaR).
• Experience supporting DoD program reviews, budget planning, and tracking.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Air Force Medical Service funding structure in CCAR.
• Understanding of fiscal restrictions/regulations and various types of contract vehicles.
