About the position

The Budget Analyst 3 position serves as the sole budget analyst for the Department of Law, responsible for the comprehensive management of budget development, review, implementation, and reconciliation. This role involves executing budget requests, preparing and tracking budget scenarios, and providing guidance across divisions on administrative tasks. The analyst will also liaise with external entities and provide consultative services to the department's executive management team.

Responsibilities

• Complete technical and professional aspects of budget development, review, implementation, and reconciliation.
• Execute required deliverables for all budget requests.
• Prepare, review, and track all budget scenarios for the department.
• Provide daily guidance and support across divisions on administrative subjects and tasks.
• Correspond with external entities such as the Governor's Office and Legislative Finance.
• Provide interpretive guidance and consultative services to the executive management team.

Requirements

• One year of full-working professional level experience analyzing and reviewing budgetary data and information.
• Two years of full-working level professional experience in accounting, auditing, financial management, or budget analysis.
• Experience as a business executive or manager establishing and implementing policies and procedures.
