About the position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated Budget Analyst to provide financial management support to the Department of Navy (DON), Chief Information Office (CIO). The role involves generating DOD funding documents, attending budget and programmatic meetings, and regularly interacting with customers and stakeholders to provide updates on financial tasks and track funding documents.

Responsibilities

  • Generate DOD funding documents
  • Attend budget, programmatic, and execution meetings
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders regularly
  • Provide updates on various financial tasks and purchase requisitions
  • Update funding logs regularly
  • Track the status of all funding documents from start to finish
  • Advise customers on financial matters on an ongoing basis
  • Manage procurement and acquisition processes
  • Conduct government auditing and analysis
  • Oversee government contracting including contract award and close-out
  • Engage in program and project management
  • Perform business analysis
  • Execute budget formulation and execution
  • Participate in pre-solicitation and contract award processes
  • Utilize ERP systems or equivalent access, training, and experience

Requirements

  • 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field
  • 4 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
  • DOD or Federal government Financial Management experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree, no specific major
  • Secret security clearance eligible
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems and resolve issues
  • Team-oriented
