Responsibilities

• Manage budgetary functions for assigned funds in the Division of Social Services.
• Interpret and apply federal and state rules, laws, and regulations related to budgeting and funding sources.
• Work with multiple fund sources and accounts to ensure proper allocation and usage of funds.
• Utilize the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS) for budget management and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze budget reports to support decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with fiscal and operational policies of state government, including budgeting, accounting, and purchasing.
• Experience interpreting and applying federal and state rules, laws, and regulations.
• Demonstrated direct experience with the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
