Responsibilities

• Perform complex budgetary and financial analysis.
• Assist in the preparation and administration of a comprehensive annual budget.
• Compile, create, and prepare budget documents for submission to the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
• Conduct program operations and policy review analysis.
• Participate in program evaluation and management projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in local government/municipality budget preparation and financial analysis work.
• Experience with governmental accounting practices and procedures.
• Familiarity with local government financial information systems.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or other ERP/BPM software.
• Proficiency in extracting data for financial/budget analysis.
• Proficiency in creating financial reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business acumen.
