The Budget Analyst position at the Department of Defense involves advising on planning, programming, and resource execution related to CASCOM operations, readiness, and training activities. The role requires the incumbent to recommend funding distributions, implement fund control policies, and assist in developing resource strategies and cost estimates. The position is critical for ensuring effective budget formulation and execution within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Advise on planning, programming, and resource execution for CASCOM operations.
• Recommend distribution of funding and necessary reprogramming due to changing priorities.
• Implement fund control policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing resource strategies and cost estimates.
• Review and analyze budget content for CASCOM and other initiatives.
• Recommend program guidance and policy priorities to the Director.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience in managing or revising a budget and preparing budget reports.
• Familiarity with automated financial management reporting systems.
• Specialized experience in budget formulation and execution.
