About the position

This position is responsible for coordinating operating budgeting and management reporting activities for assigned departments. The role involves budget formulation, variance analysis, and utilizing reports to analyze data from various sources to assist in budget planning and decision-making. A strong foundation in accounting and technical system skills is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operating budgeting and management reporting activities for assigned departments.
  • Utilize reports to analyze data from various sources and systems for budget planning and decision-making.
  • Administer the assigned departments' budget and management reporting software, including ongoing system maintenance and training.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology, Accounting, Finance & Reimbursement, and Patient Financial Services to design solutions for technical problems.
  • Assist with the coordination of the hospital's annual budget process and manage input into budget workbooks from internal staff.
  • Provide thorough financial and statistical analysis of data to produce reports and support decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve technical skills needed to manipulate data and design database structures for reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Hospital Administration, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in data analysis, financial statement preparation, financial systems administration, or healthcare planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Two years of professional experience in a healthcare setting.
