The analyst is responsible for budget preparation, review, analysis, effort reporting, compliance, and forecasting of extramural budgets, while also providing analytical financial reports for large academic departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administration and analysis for contract and grant pre- and post-awards in the BFTV Cluster.
  • Serve as compliance officer and resource advisor to faculty for proposal submissions.
  • Manage pre-award management of grants and contracts.
  • Gather, manage, and analyze financial data from various revenue streams.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze budgets, ensuring compliance and forecasting of extramural budgets.
  • Provide effort reporting and analytical financial reports for academic departments.

Requirements

  • Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in federal, state, and private grant budget preparation based on narrative methodological research plans.
  • Strong decision-making skills to solve problems and evaluate business needs.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze complex data.
  • Interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse population.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and meet variable priorities.
