About the position

The position involves monitoring and controlling the execution phase of the budgetary cycle at FEMA, ensuring compliance with budgetary policies, laws, and regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing spend plans, preparing fiscal/accounting status reports, and overseeing budget execution to support FEMA's mission of emergency management.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops and prepares spend plans as the technical authority on budgetary policy, law, and regulation.
  • Monitors and controls the execution phase of the budgetary cycle through fiscal/accounting status reports of commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
  • Develops all reports pertaining to budget execution.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
  • Must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • Selective Service registration required.
  • Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
  • Must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time.
  • Must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government.
