About the position

The Budget Analyst at Tecolote Research, Inc. is responsible for maximizing program execution and presenting budget results to senior leadership. This role involves advising on budget propriety, compliance with legal and DoD regulations, and strategizing to avoid budget cuts. The analyst will prepare response strategies that may require revisions to budget allocations and reprogramming actions.

Responsibilities

• Maximize program execution and present reporting of budget results to senior leadership
• Advise senior leadership of budget propriety, new start implications, and compliance with legal and DoD regulatory guidance
• Prepare response strategies to avoid potential budget cuts, which may require revisions to budget allocations and reprogramming actions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DoD Acquisitions Financial Management and/or Budget Analysis
• Experience with FM Suite (5 years), CCaR (10 years), and Excel (5 years)
• Familiarity with DTM 09-025 Space Systems Acquisition Policy (SSAP), DoD Instruction 5000.02, the DoD FMR, and applicable Air Force Instructions
• Extensive knowledge of the DoD acquisition process, budget planning, formulation, programming, justification documentation/reporting, and program documentation development
• Bachelor's degree in math, Business/Economics, finance, accounting, engineering, or the sciences
• TS/SCI security clearance with DCID 6/4 eligibility is desired; Secret Clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required

• Familiarity with the National Intelligence Community budget cycle
• Accounting experience is a plus
