About the position

The Budget Analyst will support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) Headquarters. This role involves managing financial data across various government financial systems, assisting with reconciliations, and providing application and technology management for SAP solutions. The analyst will also engage with end-users to improve performance in ERP systems and conduct training sessions to enhance user understanding of financial processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data between various government financial systems to determine errors and assist with reconciliations.
  • Assist with tracking actual performance in various databases to reconcile errors.
  • Provide application and technology management, including documenting, implementing, training, monitoring, and optimizing SAP solutions.
  • Resolve complex business problems using SAP technologies in finance operations and compliance.
  • Improve end-user performance in ERP systems and Business Intelligence reporting.
  • Analyze issues and identify common themes during training and system changes.
  • Coordinate with users to ensure SAP transactions and reports are functioning correctly.
  • Engage with end-users to understand their use of SAP/ERP capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Train users on transaction entry and report generation across financial cycles.
  • Conduct workshops to promote best practices in SAP/ERP systems across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, computer systems, or related field
  • Five years of experience deploying financial SAP/ERP resources, preferably GFEBS or LMP
  • Demonstrated knowledge in SAP modules including FICO, SC, FM, and PS
  • Experience with integration and interoperation of various applications across Army and DOD enterprises
  • Strong knowledge of SAP's NetWeaver and Solution Manager
  • Knowledge of software-driven business process improvement using SAP/ECC and BI
  • Experience capturing and documenting non-functional requirements
  • Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) using SQL
  • Proficient in the use of the SAP BOBJ application
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
