About the position

The Budget Analyst position at the Department of Defense involves managing and administering financial resources to support the formulation, justification, and presentation of budget materials. The position is permanent, full-time, and based at Offutt AFB, NE, with a salary range of $104,400 to $135,724.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate problems and obstacles associated with moderately complex projects and proactively develop creative solutions.
• Perform budgeting systems assignments to acquire and administer financial, material, and information resources.
• Craft effective recommendations for complex or sensitive situations, incorporating strategic direction.
• Apply knowledge of the organization to guide others on complex assignments that impact the organization's reputation.
• Present a positive, professional image of the office in spoken and written communications.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Successful completion of a drug test and security investigation is mandatory.
• Financial Management Certification is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous Combat Command and/or DOD financial advising experience.
• Experience with the Intelligence Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Evaluation (IPPBE) process/system.
• Ability to coordinate adjustments to schedules, tasks, and priorities.
