Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day control and management of the organization's budget and funding requirements.
• Make recommendations for the development and implementation of financial management procedures.
• Conduct budget formulation by reviewing and preparing budget estimates and financial plans.
• Analyze budget requests for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to instructions.
• Summarize budgetary data from various sources for preparing budget estimates and annual financial plans.
• Monitor obligations and expenditures of funds during budget execution.
• Execute reprogramming and adjustments of funding to cover shortfalls and unexpected expenses.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience utilizing financial systems to maintain and track budget data.
• Providing consultation and assistance for budgeting concerns.
• Preparing justification statements to support fund requests.
• A Master's or equivalent graduate degree in accounting or finance, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Financial Management Level 1 certification as per National Defense Authorization Act 2012.
