About the position

The Budget Analyst position at Westinghouse Electric Company involves working closely with corporate finance teams to prepare and analyze monthly expense data, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley principles. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a highly proceduralized and regulated office environment, with occasional visits to the plant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly expense data ensuring compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley principles.
• Conduct annual budget and planning duties and monthly forecasting for multiple departments.
• Allocate journal entries and perform project cost auditing/validation.
• Manage month-end closing processes, variance analysis, fixed asset accounting, and performance indicators.
• Produce ad-hoc reports using database reporting tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline.
• A minimum of three (3) years' work experience in data analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills (including MACROS, Pivot Tables, and linking files) to maintain and modify complex spreadsheets for reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen, and employment testing.
