About the position

The Budget Analyst position at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency involves managing the programming, budgeting, execution, and review of complex Security Cooperation programs. The role requires the incumbent to negotiate budget recommendations, advise leadership on budget policies, and analyze guidelines and regulations to address funding adjustments and unplanned requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform the total spectrum of programming, budgeting, execution, and review of Security Cooperation programs.
• Support budget engagement with external partners including the Department of State and Military Departments.
• Develop recommendations for unplanned/unfunded requirements and funding adjustments.
• Provide insight on budgetary guidelines, policies, legislation, and regulations.
• Make budget and financial management recommendations for administrative funding.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, including analyzing and recommending budget adjustments, negotiating with management, and advising on budgetary policies.
