About the position

The Budget Analyst will apply finance and accounting principles to conduct detailed cost studies that are not provided by the general budgeting system. This role focuses on supporting managerial decisions, stabilizing budgets, assessing operational efficiency, and identifying accountability for profit variance. The analyst will forecast project costs based on historical and current financial performance, design management information systems, and monitor company performance against established standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed cost studies to provide information not supplied by the general budgeting system.
• Specialize in managerial decision-making, budget stabilization, and operational efficiency assessment.
• Forecast project costs based on past and present financial performances.
• Design and implement effective management information and control systems.
• Plan costing systems and methods, investment analysis, project management, and cost audits.
• Collect data to determine the cost of business activities and guide management decisions.
• Monitor company performance variances to stated quotas and standards.
• Analyze data to ensure effective and efficient company operations.
• Compile cost information for operating budget preparation and estimate costs for new projects or services.
• Analyze costs of expansion and marketing projects to assist management in decision-making.

Requirements
