About the position

ABSS Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a full-time Budget Management Analyst to join our team in providing Medical Research support to the 59th Medical Wing in San Antonio, Texas. The Budget Analyst will utilize existing Air Force enterprise-wide established accounting and financial procedures and systems to provide analysis of fiscal data, and support program financial execution and operation. This position is expected to collaborate with various medical research staff and personnel on technical budgetary matters. The preferred candidate will have experience with DoD financial systems such as DEAMS, DMLSS, DTS, and CCaR. The Budget Analyst will be responsible for providing financial and budget analysis for research projects, including daily monitoring of project funding. The role involves performing a wide variety of technical tasks in support of the financial analysis process, which includes gathering, compiling, and analyzing data from a broad range of sources using various analytical techniques. The analyst will also deliver reports and presentations for colleagues and senior managers, ensuring that all financial documentation is accurate and up-to-date. In addition, the Budget Analyst must proficiently execute Enterprise-Wide forms and reports, including Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), Funding Authorization Document (FAD) requests, and various other financial reports. The role requires working closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) to develop budget requirements for proposal submissions, revising project budget sheets, tracking project spending, and providing data for various reports and reviews. This position is crucial for ensuring the financial integrity and accountability of the research projects supported by ASI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and budget analysis for research project(s).
  • Provide daily monitoring of project(s) funding.
  • Provide analytical support for budgetary, administrative, and statistical budget formulation activities.
  • Perform a wide variety of technical tasks in support of the financial analysis process, including gathering, compiling, and analyzing data from a broad range of sources, using a variety of analytical techniques.
  • Deliver reports and presentations for colleagues and senior managers.
  • Execute Enterprise-Wide forms and reports such as Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs) and Funding Authorization Document (FAD) requests.
  • Work with Principal Investigators (PIs) to develop budget requirements for proposal submissions.
  • Revise project budget sheets and track project spending.
  • Provide data for PMR/QPUR/Synopsis/SITREP and review proposals for cost effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Business or any business-related field is required; Bachelor degree is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS), Commanders Resource Information System (CRIS), Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), and the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • 1 year of experience with the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCaR).
  • Intermediate+ experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
