Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage budgets across projects funded by federal, state, and private grants.
• Conduct financial reporting and analysis, tracking fund allocation and expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with grant terms, including timely filing of reports and monitoring project-specific requirements.
• Develop financial forecasts and perform variance analysis for budgets.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve documentation standards.
• Collaborate with department heads and finance teams to meet budget goals.

Requirements

• Background in grant budgeting and accounting with experience in federal, state, or private funding sources.
• Strong understanding of accrual and cash basis accounting as it applies to grant management.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Peachtree, and Microsoft Excel, including advanced Excel functions.
• Ability to manage multiple grant-focused projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for resolving discrepancies and providing insights.
• Adaptability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with financial software beyond QuickBooks and Peachtree.
• Knowledge of additional compliance regulations related to grant funding.
