Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to program managers on budget areas.
  • Implement and advise on unusual Department budgetary and programmatic problems.
  • Review, analyze, edit, and consolidate budget submissions and requests for allotments.
  • Analyze and estimate the financial impact of proposed legislation and policy shifts on budgets.
  • Prepare requests and justifications for apportionments, reapportionments, and supplemental appropriations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in budget analysis, formulation, and execution.
  • Experience in conducting analyses of budget and cost information and advising senior management.
  • Ability to compile data from various financial systems for budget-related reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with federal budget processes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
