About the position

The Budget Analyst position involves managing financial resources and providing expertise in budgeting processes for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The role requires a strong understanding of financial management principles, particularly in the context of resource planning and execution for cyberspace requirements. The analyst will assist in preparing financial analyses, managing budget execution reports, and ensuring accurate tracking of funding documents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist, coordinate, and provide guidance on all Plans, Programs and Budgeting Systems (PPBS) and resources planning actions for A6 requirements and programs.
  • Prepare independent analysis of current and projected financial baselines for assigned Program Elements (PEs) and make recommendations regarding resource planning actions.
  • Manage Budgeting Execution Report (BER), Execution Plan, and support ACC/A6 Initial Distribution.
  • Provide fiscal expertise to the Branch Chief in support of the preparation and presentation of briefings for existing and proposed systems changes.
  • Track funding documents from creation to completion and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Find and reconcile inaccuracies and close documents in coordination with various offices and leadership.
  • Process commitment and obligation documentation and forms in relevant financial systems.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Minimum of five (5) years financial resource management experience, including two (2) years of budget cycle experience.
  • Four (4) years financial experience utilizing financial processing software applications/systems such as DEAMS, CRIS, and ABSS.
  • Knowledge of USG principles, methodologies, and approaches used in Resource Management, Budgeting, and Acquisitions.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple complex tasks and delegate among the contract workforce.
