Responsibilities

• Executes budget processes for the approved annual funding programs, ensuring proper allocation of appropriation funds.
• Provides technical advice and guidance to HQs Directorates and supported units' Budget Analysts and Program Managers.
• Analyzes program/budget guidance and instruction from higher echelons to assess impact on Command operations.
• Analyzes data for practicality and consistency of estimates, adequacy of justification, and compliance with laws, policies, and regulations.
• Develops local budget policy, procedures, budget formulation assumptions, formats, and schedules for budget submissions, obligations, and expenditure plans.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
• Requires up to 30 days of Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel, with up to 15% travel time.
• Must obtain and maintain Financial Management Level 2 Certification.
• Subject to pre-employment screening and random testing thereafter.
• Appointment may require a one-year probationary period.
