About the position

The Budget and Billing Operations Manager at Amazon's Cross Channel Marketing Team (XCM) is responsible for managing global media budgets and streamlining billing processes across multiple locales. This role involves collaboration with finance teams, agency partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective budget management, billing operations, and financial reporting. The manager will also participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes, identify operational improvements, and support the transition to new budgeting and billing workflows by 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with XCM global cross-functional business, finance, and agency partners for alignment on processes and budget roll-ups.
  • Support XCM business partners across media buying and activation in their budget management and monthly billing and accrual cycles.
  • Directly manage the budget for multiple XCM locales in the Americas, including confirming purchase order details and invoice support.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly financial mechanisms with finance partners and accounting teams.
  • Identify opportunities for operational process improvements across financial operations and collaborate on solutions.
  • Develop or revise process documentation, SOPs, and training materials as needed.
  • Manage vendor or agency partner relationships, including onboarding and status meetings.
  • Scale to provide centralized billing, reporting, and operations support across multiple Amazon organizations.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience directly managing regional and/or global budgets.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau for data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables.
  • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams.
  • Comfortable presenting to stakeholders with verbal and written communication.
  • Passion for mechanisms, problem solving, and streamlining workflows.
  • A track record of inventing and simplifying processes in cross-functional capacities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Agency or brand side experience with familiarity in Media and Production costs and/or deliverables.
  • Experience with finance or budget-related change management implementation and workflow revisions.
  • Experience with global stakeholders and locale budgets across multiple spend amounts and currencies.
