The USC Institute for Addiction Science is seeking a dedicated Budget/Business Analyst to provide essential financial and administrative oversight for various tasks related to procurement, accounting, contracts and grants, and HR administration. This role will operate under the guidance of the Chief Finance and Administration Officer, with a primary focus on both pre and post-award grant administration. The analyst will also play a crucial role in supporting the office staff in managing the infrastructure of the Institute. The responsibilities of this position encompass a wide range of functions, including day-to-day office administration and process management. Specific obligations will involve supplier management, accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) administration, proposal submissions, staff recruitment, cost accounting, and project budgeting. The analyst will assist in data collection, data entry, and budget reporting, necessitating a detail-oriented approach, proficiency with software applications, and experience in interdepartmental communication. The Institute for Addiction Science, established in 2018, is recognized as one of the nation's pioneering university-wide comprehensive transdisciplinary addiction institutes. It is distinguished by its extensive and profound research and educational initiatives in addiction, which encompass basic, clinical, behavioral, social, and population sciences.
