About the position
The Budget Director will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing operational budgets to align with the organization's strategic plans. This role involves building relationships within the organization to understand budget priorities, collaborating with human resources, and seeking efficiencies. The Budget Director will also develop policies to enhance budget management, create monthly and annual budget reports, and oversee long-range financial projections.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Business Administration
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of State University System policies
- Proficiency with financial systems
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized
- Experience managing team members
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to build and maintain high-level relationships
- Experience in higher education and fund accounting preferred
