As a Budget/Financial Analyst at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), you will play a crucial role in supporting mission-critical initiatives under the ATLAS contract for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) International Operations (IO) programs. This position is integral to ensuring the safety and security of our nation, as you will contribute to the financial analysis and reporting that underpins the operational effectiveness of the IO mission. Your work will involve providing budget support, financial forecasts, and creating digestible analytic products that inform strategic planning and decision-making processes. In this role, you will perform financial analysis and reporting to monitor the finances associated with business operations. You will coordinate with ATLAS/GDIT and IO leadership to deliver data-driven analysis, strategic planning, and mission analysis that enhances the effectiveness of IO missions globally. Your responsibilities will include assisting with reporting to IO leadership, managing resource allocation, addressing ad hoc requests, and identifying opportunities for improvement in various IO mission tasks. Your contributions will directly impact the operational capabilities of the organization and help ensure that resources are utilized effectively to meet mission objectives. To succeed in this position, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting, along with a minimum of two years of specialized experience in these fields. You will be expected to brief and educate senior management on federal budgets, develop advanced presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, and manipulate data using advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with tools such as Tableau and LucidChart will also be beneficial.
