About the position

As a Budget/Financial Analyst supporting the ATLAS contract under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) International Operations (IO) programs, you will play a crucial role in supporting mission-critical initiatives and enabling the growth of our business. This position is integral to ensuring the safety and security of our nation, as you will contribute to the IO mission by providing essential budget support, financial forecasts, and analytical products. Your work will directly impact how GDIT operates and enhances its capabilities in the field of international operations. In this role, you will perform financial analysis and reporting to monitor the finances associated with business operations. You will coordinate with ATLAS/GDIT and IO leadership to provide data-driven analysis, strategic planning, and mission analysis that enhances IO missions globally. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with reporting to IO leadership, managing resource allocation, addressing ad hoc requests, and identifying opportunities for improvement in various IO mission tasks. Your contributions will help ensure that the financial aspects of the operations are well-managed and aligned with the overall mission objectives. To succeed in this position, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting, along with a minimum of two years of specialized experience in these fields. You will be expected to brief and educate senior management on federal budgets, requiring advanced skills in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, as well as familiarity with tools like Tableau and LucidChart. Your ability to convert complex financial data into standardized reporting and coordinate with government personnel will be essential. This hybrid position allows for flexibility in your work environment, supporting a balance between professional and personal priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to monitor finances associated with business operations.

  • Assist with reporting to IO leadership and resource management.
  • Address ad hoc requests and special taskings related to financial operations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and improve various IO mission tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of two years of specialized experience in business, finance, economics, or accounting.
  • Experience briefing and educating senior management on federal budgets for Senior Government Officials.
  • Advanced skills in MS PowerPoint for presentation development in a federal law enforcement context.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, LucidChart, and Microsoft Office Suite.
