About the position

The Budget/Financial Manager Analyst at NewGen Technologies, Inc. is responsible for overseeing all programmatic budget activities, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, corporate policies, and government regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills to evaluate programmatic data and propose innovative solutions to financial challenges, while also preparing detailed briefings and maintaining financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Develop descriptive detail briefings to defend program funding requirements.
  • Prepare total program budget exhibits for presentation.
  • Build, maintain, track, and update spend plans and execution spreadsheets for funding actions using required systems.
  • Direct, implement, and administer formal aspects of the program in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and government regulations.
  • Prepare funding documents for program execution.
  • Responsible for the development of program-related financial data.
  • Maintain and update records, ensuring files are in a soft, secure, shared repository.
  • Support financial business process improvement on the program, including conducting root cause analysis, gap analysis, and process mapping.
  • Solve moderately complex financial challenges with innovative solutions and work to implement automation.
  • Evaluate programmatic data, resolve inconsistencies, and propose solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 7 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen on government contracts - projects/programs.
  • Experience within the cleared government contracting environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct knowledge of the customer's operational environment, including customer working capital fund, ServiceNow, desktop technologies, and other corporate applications.
  • Budgeting and financial management experience.
  • Program Control Administration experience.
  • Accounting/Acquisitions/Contracts knowledge.
  • Financial tool experience such as Cost Point, Financial Tracking System (FTS), BASIS, and Remedy.
  • BS in a financial discipline.
