The role involves managing a team within the Budget Unit, providing strategic support, and ensuring compliance with budgeting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of the Department's biennial budget.
• Act as a Budget Manager for the Budget Unit, assigned by the Budget Director.
• Prepare and maintain tracking spreadsheets and documentation for the agency's budget.
• Supervise and review the work completed by the Budget Unit staff, approximately 5 members.
• Direct and administer the development, execution, and reporting of the agency's biennial budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Finance, or related degree.
• Five years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work related to budget management.
• Experience with public sector budgeting and finance principles, preferably in Oregon.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze and create customized finance and budget reports.
