About the position

The Budtender / Brand Ambassador at Misty Mountain Cannabis is responsible for representing the brand and engaging with customers in various settings. This role focuses on enhancing brand awareness and driving customer loyalty through direct interactions and event participation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis products and services, effectively communicate their benefits, and create memorable experiences for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging conversations to showcase product features and benefits to potential customers.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of various cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods.
  • Explain the differences between different strains, cannabinoid profiles, and terpene profiles to customers.
  • Collect valuable data on customer preferences and feedback to inform marketing strategies.
  • Process customer transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and debit payments accurately.
  • Provide customers with receipts and ensure a smooth checkout process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Drive sales through effective communication of product value propositions during interactions.
  • Participate in event marketing initiatives to promote brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute marketing campaigns and gather insights on market trends.
  • Adhere to security protocols to prevent theft or unauthorized access to inventory and cash.
  • Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the store.
  • Work effectively as a team player to provide customers with a positive experience.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in event marketing.
  • 1 year of experience in marketing.
  • 1 year of experience in sales.
  • 1 year of experience in customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of cannabis products and their features.
  • Proven customer service skills that foster positive interactions.
  • Sales experience demonstrating an understanding of driving revenue through relationship-building.
  • Understanding of the rules and regulations regarding the sale of cannabis per CRA guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to commute to Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (Preferred).
  • Willingness to relocate to Ann Arbor, MI 48104 before starting work (Required).
