About the position
The Budtender position at Green Dragon involves providing exceptional customer service in a cannabis retail environment. The role focuses on promoting a positive work atmosphere, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be available for flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Properly and accurately use and train on the POS system, cash handling, safe audits, and change drops.
- Greet and check in customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Assist customers in-store, on the phone, and with processing online orders.
- Encourage sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and understand the training and compliance binder.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring proper signage and marketing materials are visible and updated.
- Keep the store clean, neat, and well-stocked, while performing general housekeeping duties.
- Maintain a positive attitude to foster a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Sales experience in a retail store environment preferred, but not required.
- Customer service experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail.
- Reliable, punctual, dependable, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or GED.
- Successfully pass a Level-2 background screening.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of cannabis retail experience preferred.
- 1 year of experience as a retail associate or cashier required.
