About the position

The position involves assisting patients and guests with their cannabis purchases, providing education about products, and training new budtending staff. The role focuses on maintaining a well-kept store environment and ensuring efficient service to guests while adhering to industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stations are ready to go at venue opening time.
• Maintain fully stocked and clean workstations at all times.
• Assist with running side work, stocking, and cleaning during downtime.
• Ensure opening and closing cleaning and organization is completed.
• Participate in periodic all-staff cleanings and staff meetings.
• Maintain proper cash-handling procedures at all times.
• Greet all guests upon arrival and wish them farewell upon departure.
• Participate in staff events, outings, and promotional events.
• Stay knowledgeable about industry compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Remain knowledgeable about all cannabis products carried by the venue.
• Understand cannabinoids, terpenes, and methods of cannabis consumption.
• Accurately create and/or update customer profiles.
• Keep up to date on daily/weekly sales, promotions, and discounts.
• Ensure each guest receives full attention during their transaction.
• Assist with budtending as directed by the manager.
• Provide excellent customer experience.
• Accurately log customer information in computer systems.
• Record customer transactions in the POS system.
• Ensure a seamless customer experience that exceeds expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior retail or customer service experience (1-3 years).
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, with advanced knowledge in Excel.
• Must be 21+ years old and pass a criminal background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of cannabis products and consumption methods.
• Experience with inventory management software and retail tools.
